Gemini Monthly Horoscope for October 2024
Overview
Yippee kiyay! October has such a light, happy feel for Geminis. The brakes are starting to come off the planets, many of which have been retrograde for quite some time. The energy is super social and fun. Plans start to develop momentum. There’s a full moon coming in your house of friends and networking. Overall, you should start to feel more optimistic about the future and see things start to gel.
Jupiter and Saturn go direct in Aquarius
One of the reasons things were in slow mo’ in your chart is that Jupiter and Saturn were both spinning backwards in Aquarius, which is your ninth house of busting out of ruts.
Saturn goes direct on the 10th, and Jupiter follows suit on the 18th. So that’s why I’m saying that things will “start to gel.” We need these planets to be moving direct at full speed for things to really take off. The
The ninth house governs a lot of interesting activities: entrepreneurship, foreign travel, contracts, the publishing field, and also government agencies and their activities (like getting citizenship). Higher education is part of the ninth house. By the end of the month, you should start seeing progress in these areas. If you’ve been thinking about writing a book, getting on a plane and going abroad or starting our own business, between now and the end of the year is an excellent time to do so.
Career
Big plans still need a little bit more tweaking. That’s because Neptune is retrograde in Pisces, your house of success and ambition. October is a good month for brainstorming and doing research. It’s also a smart time to talk to people who are movers and shakers, the kind who have a lot of wisdom in a certain area.
It’s worth noting that as the month begins the Sun and Mars are in Libra, the most talented part of your chart. There’s also going to be a new moon here on the 6th. If you want to get ahead in your career, show muckety-mucks, clients and your industry just how immensely talented you are. Often we have to do this before we land the big promotion and the bigger bucks.
Love
Libra also happens to be your house of romance. And with the Sun and Mars there as the month begins, there is quite a flirty vibe going on. Mercury happens to be retrograde here, so an old lover could return on the scene. Be careful about thismy friend, especially over the first week of October.
That’s because Pluto is retrograde in your house of sex and emotional issues. Pluto goes direct on the 6th, but the issue is that if an old lover returns early in the month, you could be mighty tempted to reconnect with them even if it’s a really bad idea!
It’s also possible that an old lover won’t come crawling out from underneath their rock. But you could still be carrying a torch for someone, or feel upset about something that happened in the past. In other words, you may be carrying some baggage around. Once Pluto goes direct on the 6th, you will feel more calm and in control of your emotions. Pluto governs your personal power, so you should start to feel a lot more like a boss, especially when it comes to romance.
Oh, and there’s a new moon in your house of love on the 6th, perfect for meeting someone new or reigniting an existing relationship.
Sun and Mars enter Scorpio
The Sun enters Scorpio on the 23rd, followed by Mars on the 30th. When this happens the mood in your chart and life changes dramatically. Scorpio is your sixth house of getting things done, quickly and effectively. With the Sun in this part of your chart, you’re going to feel like getting caught up with projects at the office.
You’ll want to get organized at home. Scorpio is also your house of health and fitness, so this is the best time in 2024 to get on a diet and exercise regimen. However, once Mars enters this part of your chart on the 30th, you could really overdo it. Take your time and do things carefully so that you don’t get injured.
Full moon in Aries on October 20
This months full moon occurs in Aries, your eleventh house of friends and networking. If you and others have been working on some kind of project, it could come to a successful close at full Moon time and the two weeks that follow.
For example, maybe you and your friends are planning a group vacation or a bachelorette party. Perhaps you and your family want to have a nice family reunion around the holidays. If you’re involved in a volunteer group, you might be putting the finishing touches on a gala fundraising event. At the office, you and your team could crush it with some kind of endeavor.
It’s all good, and things can really take off once Mars enter Scorpio on the 30th!
